IcoFX is a wonderful professional award winning icon and cursor editing software. This small software is an all in one solution for icon creation, editing and extraction. There are almost all features available in this software. But it is not possible to discuss all these features in a single post. Today I will only show how to convert image into icon using this software.

About IcoFX Portable:

As I said above IcoFX is an exceptional software, but what I am sharing is more exceptional because I am sharing the portable version of IcoFX. The most importable thing is that it is very small in size. It is only 1.80 mb.

• System Requirement: There is no special requirement to run this software in your PC. You can use this software in any version of windows. But you should have enough skill to use this software properly.

Download the IcoFX software from the above link. It is 100% free and safe download link  contains no disturbing ads. The software is in zipped folder.

• After downloading the software folder Unzip it.
• Then double click on IcoFXPortable.exe file to run the software.

Converting Image Into Icon:

• First Run IcoFX software. Then click on File menu and select Import Image or Press CTRL+M. Then choose an image from your PC which you want to convert in to icon. Now in the New image window choose your desired color and size. If you don't have any idea about this option then keep it default. And then click OK.
  
• Then you will be moved into the new window named Advanced Import. Here Crop, Resize or Change Transparency of the image as you need. And click OK.
• Now below the Menu Bar you will find Windows and Apple icon. Click on Windows Icon to create icons for the windows PC and click on Apple icon to create icons for the Mac PC.
  
• Then a new window will come to your PC screen like below image. Here change the color and size as you need and click OK.
  
• Now it is time to save the created icon. Save it in .icon format for windows PC and .icns for Mac PC.
