How to Disable Ads in uTorrent [Exclusive Trick]

uTorrent, Torrent or BitTorrent - these are the very familiar name to the people who download files from the web regularly. By far uTorrent is one of the best and most popular bittorrent clients. The availability of this clients across platforms i.e. Windows, Mac, Linux and mobile devices like Android and iPhone has made it very popular. However, the main object of this post is to show you how to Disable Ads in uTorrent.


If you look at uTorrent interface, then you will get to see that a banner ads flashes on the left bottom corner and text ads on the top just below the toolbar. Basically these ads won't disturb in your download, but these will consume your valuable data. Whatever the reason, if you want to disable uTorrent ads then carefully follow the below steps...

Before we start, let me show you an example of uTorrent Ads.

Steps to Disable Ads in uTorrent:

• First launch the uTorrent client on your PC.

• Then Navigate to Options -> Preferences. (Or Press CTRL+P)

• On the Preferences window, on the left pane, click the Advanced option. Do not expand it, simply click on Advanced.

• Then in the Filter text box type offer. That will filter out the advertisement options.

• Now take note of the last two options. Here’s what they mean:-

• In order to turn the ads off, double click on each of the options and change their value to false.

• Finally click on Apply and OK.

That's it, Now Exit and close the uTorrent client. Give it some time to sync the set preferences. When you open the client again you will see that the advertisements in it is disabled as shown in the image below.

Extra Tips: If you also want to remove the upgrade button on left side just go again in preferences and also make False the following options...

• bt.enable_pulse
• gui.show_notorrents_node
• gui.show_plus_upsell

Note: This Trick Will Work On Almost All Torrent Clients :)
