Very often, one of the most common question that I face is What is the difference between Blog and Website. Though this not so important point to know. But still this question always knock to our mind. And I'm sure at least once you had also searched this question. A Blog in Nature:

• Content: Generally blogs is an informal way of communication and sharing views with online traffic. So, the contents shared in a blog are not static. What kinds of contents will be shared on a blog its completely depends on the blog types and its admin.

• Formality: The content shared on blog are mostly informal and rarely it could be professional.

• Interactivity: As because blogs are created mostly to communicate and share views with the online traffics, that why in nature blogs are very much interactive. And communication between blog admin and visitors is very popular here.

• Purpose: Mostly a blogger does blogging for informative and educational purpose. Actually the purpose of a blog mainly depends on the admin who is bogging on it. On the other hand many website has their official blog to allow their customers and visitors to share their opinions.

• Flexibility: The flexibility of a blog depends on the platform the it is created. Mostly blog is not as flexible as website. But the blog created on Blogger and WordPress is very much flexible in terms of customization. 

• Controls: The controls of a blog mainly belongs to blog owner or admin. But in case if the blog is created on free platform like Blogger.com or WordPress.com then the supreme authority belongs to the Blogger and WordPress authority. If the blog author or admin violate and terms and condition then the blog can be suspended.

• Example: Wikipedia.com, Facebook.com, Odesk.com etc.

A Website in Nature:

• Content: Generally the content shared on the website are static. Here content don't need to be changed or updated very often. But in case of news website contents are need to be updated anytime. 

• Formality: The content shared on websites are completely Formal/professional.

• Interactivity: A website will have the communication or the contact support or not, it basically depends on the types of the website. Mostly the interactivity feature does not exist in the website. There is only one-way communication.

• Purpose: Mostly a website is open for advertisement, service, sharing information, business and professional purpose.

• Flexibility: Normally a website is very flexible, versatile and comfortable in terms of its design and customization.

• Controls: Generally websites are hosted on personal server with custom domain. As a result the website owner or admin has the full control over his website.

• Example: Mashable, Cnet, www.iTTimesbd.com etc.
