How to Enable/Disable Hibernate (Any Windows)

Enable Hibernate
In windows PC there are four options available in Power menu. But normally three options - Shutdown, Restart and Sleep are shown and normally the other option always remain hide. The hidden option name is Hibernate. Among these four options Sleep and Hibernate are almost same. Many users are often confused with the two options. So, in this post I'm gonna clarify the difference between sleep and hibernate, And also show how to enable Hibernate option in windows PC.

Hibernation is a power-saving state designed primarily for laptops. While sleep puts your work and settings in memory and draws a small amount of power, hibernation puts your open documents and programs on your hard disk, and then turns off your computer. Of all the power-saving states in Windows, hibernation uses the least amount of power. On a laptop, use hibernation when you know that you won't use your laptop for an extended period and won't have an opportunity to charge the battery during that time.

That means Hibernate mode is the Advance mode of Sleep option. The process of enabling Hibernate option is not same in various windows version. Generally Hibernate option is available in Power Option of Control Panel. Normally the Hibernate option is unchecked, So, you need to check the option to enable it. But using the Command Prompt you can easily enable Hibernate option in your PC. And I am gonna use the Command Prompt method. So, by following the below steps you can enable Hibernate option in any version of Windows.

Note: Click the Start button, and then click the arrow next to the Shut down button like the below image. The you will get to know that whether the Hibernate option is enable in your PC or not.

That's it. Now again click the Start button, and then click the arrow next to the Shut down button. The you will find that the Hibernate option is available.

To make the Hibernation Unavailable:
