How to Hide Specific Updates on Windows 10!

At the end of the previous year when the Technical Preview of Windows was released I had published a post on Disabling Windows 10 Automatic Update. And after the official release of windows 10, I have come to know that the previous trick is now working on windows 10 Pro and Enterprise only. Official Microsoft launched Windows 10 in Three Edition - Home, Pro and Enterprise. And my today's post is basically Related to Windows 10 Home Edition.


Actually Windows 10 Home edition is the only version that is required to perform updates automatically in the background. And in both Windows 10 and Enterprise you will have the option to disable Auto Update. If you’re running Windows 10 Home edition, updates flow down from Microsoft automatically and install. Though all the updates are necessary but if you want then some updates you can avoid.


The Tool that I'm gonna share today will allow you to hide specific Windows 10 updates. And windows will not install those updates that you will hide. Let's see how to do the trick...


Hiding Windows 10 Auto Update:

• First Download Microsoft Update Hider Tool from the link given below.
• Then double click on the Tool to Run and click Next.

• Now it will ask You to Hide Updates or Show Hidden Updates.

• Click Hide Updates and then select the update that you don’t want.

• And finally click Next.

That's it. the update that you have selected it will not install on you PC next time. So, this will save your valuable data. If you want to Unhide the update then follow the same steps and withdraw the previous selection.

How to Upgrade Windows 7/8.1 to Windows 10!

Finally the Windows 10 era has begun. After a long wait and with the huge expectation Microsoft has release there final and most upgraded Windows version on on 29th July, 2015. As the Microsoft promised earlier that they are groin to give the Windows 10 upgrade free to the current Windows 7 and 8.1 users. But you can't download Windows 10 instantly. Because Microsoft is slowly slowly rolling out the update in 190 countries, and it may take some time to reach your device.

But Don't Worry, Have Smile on Your Face. Because in this post I'm gonna end of your Waiting. Today I'm gonna show how you can Upgrade your Windows 7 or 8.1 OS to latest Windows 10 manually.

Eligibility for Windows 10:

Not all devices will get the Free Windows 10 Upgrade. If you have registered for free Windows 10 Upgrade or if you are running on Windows 7 or 8.1 then most probably you are eligible for the Free Upgrade to Windows 10.


System Requirement:

• Minimum 1 GHz Processor. (Dual Core or better)
• Minimum 2 GB RAM.
• Minimum 16 GB Free Space on a Partition.

There are two Methods by which you will be able to perform the Windows 10 Upgrade. Method 1 is universal for all PC users, and will commonly download the Windows 10, and Method 2 is specially made for your PC. Both are completely safe and verified, and of course both the ways are official methods to upgrade Windows 10.

Additional Requirement:

• A Stable Internet Connection. Prefer unlimited connections, as the size may be up to 3 GB.
• Sufficient Space on your internal/external storage where you are downloading it. [3 GB At Least]
• A blank USB / DVD if you need to create backup media files. This is completely optional.

Before starting, Check for updates once. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update and check once for any available updates.You may have gotten the Windows 10 to download right there, though, chances are very rare. Still, be sure of that.


Method - 1: (Force Download Windows 10 Manually)

In this Method you will have to use a tool to get Windows 10 Upgrade. Collect the Tool from the link given at the bottom of this post. This tool will help to back up the installation file and save the installation media into USB or DVD Disks, though it is optional. We will download the Update Tool and Run it on our PC. It will check for upgrades and download it.

• Download the Windows 10 Upgrade tool from the links given below.
• Then RUN this Tool.
• It will ask you Upgrade this PC or Create Update Media for another PC. Choose the first option to upgrade your PC.
• Click Next and Follow the onscreen instructions to upgrade your PC. It will start downloading your software for Windows 10.

Note: It may or may not need your Windows Registration Key. If this works then you are good to go. And, this should work. Still, if it does not work, try out the Method 2.


Method - 2: (Force Download Windows 10 Manually)

This method will follow official windows upgrade procedure, with a tweak. Microsoft recommends this by default and your scheduled upgrade would come via this method only, but we are just applying a simple tweak and speeding up the process making it available instantly. Let’s start.

• Go to Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update. Keep this window open.

• Now open File Explorer > Windows (C:) > Windows > Software Distribution > Download. You will see some files and folders.
• Backup all these files into some other drive and delete everything there. To do this step, create a new folder on another drive and copy everything from here and paste here. Next, delete all files and folders from here. Your backup will prevent you from accidental loss of files and help you restore it like previous.

• Note: You may need administrator permissions for this. Grant it.

• Now open Command Prompt in Administrator Mode. To do this, Right click on Command Prompt and Click Run as Administrator. You need Administrator permissions for this.
• On command prompt type this text: wuauclt.exe /updatenow

• Note: A space should be after wuauclt.exe

• Press Enter. BOOM! You are almost done! Now check the Windows Update Window you opened in the First step on this Method - 2. 

If everything is OK You will find it either already started downloading Windows 10 or is ready to download it. Start Downloading and wait patiently to finish!

How to Delete any Data Permanently by Eraser!

Very often we need to delete data or file from our computer. There is a default option in windows PC to delete any data of files from it. But this default option does not delete any data or file permanently. The software that I am going to share in this post - Eraser, will allow you to delete any data or file from your PC permanently. • The erasing procedure of the file/Folder will be started. You can check the status by opening the Eraser from the desktop or taskbar icon.

Extra Tips: Deleting Files using Eraser takes much more time than by normal deleting process, which takes only an instance. For example, it can takes upto 30 minutes to delete a file of size 4-5 GB ! That’s obvious because it is REALLY deleting your files from your PC.

How to Send Voice Message on Facebook from PC!

Sending voice message or sharing audio status is not must popular feature of Facebook. Voice message or Audio Status can be perform on smartphone very easily, but till today there is no official option added to Facebook to Share Audio Status and Send Voice Message. But if you are missing this, Facebook voice/audio feature on your PC then this post is dedicated to you. Because in this post I will show you how to Share Audio Status and Voice Message on Facebook.


Basically this audio status and voice message feature can be performed om PC by adding a simple extension to your browser. Earlier I had also shared an extension for Google Chrome. but this extension is very special, because using this extension sharing Audio status and sending voice message is much easier. And like the earlier extension this one is also for Google Chrome only. The name of this extension is Talk and Comment for Facebook.


All You Need to Have:

• Google Chrome Browser. (If you do not have, Download and Install it)

• Talk and Comment for Facebook Extension (Download from the link below)

• And a working Microphone to record your voice.

Adding Extension to Google Chrome:

• First open your Google Chrome Browser.

• Then click this link for Talk and Comment Extension.

• Then in the extension page click on ADD TO CHROME button and click Add to confirm it.

• Once the extension is successfully Installed in your Browser, it will automatically open new Tab where it may ask for your permission to use your MIC. Click on Allow.

After adding the Talk and Comment for Facebook extension to Chrome Browser successfully, Now you are ready to Share Audio Status and  Send Voice Message on Facebook directly from your PC. Let's see the procedure.

Sharing Audio Status on Facebook:

• First Log into your Facebook Account.

• Then click on the Update status box and you will see MIC icon add there.

• Now simply Click on that MIC icon and Speak to Record your Audio status.

• Once your Recording is done, then click on the Stop Recording button.

• Then your Audio Status will be uploaded and you will see a link there.

• Finally click on Post to Share your Audio stats.

Sending Voice Message on Facebook:

Sending voice message to friends on Facebook is almost as same as the procedure shown in the above of sharing Audio Status on Facebook. First open the chat box of the friends to whom you are going to send voice message...

• Now click on MIC icon and Speak to Record your Voice Message.

• After completing your Record click on Stop Recording button and wait till the message is uploaded.

• Once your voice message is uploaded you will see a link in the chat box.

• Finally press the Enter key to send your voice message.

That's it from now you can share you status and send your message on Facebook directly by using your voice. So, share your audio status and voice message on Facebook and surprise your friends.

Making Bootable USB Drive by WiNToBootic:

• First Insert the Flash/Pen Drive into your PC.
• Then Run the WiNToBootic software.
• Your Pen/Flash Drive will automatically be selected. Now Mark the Quick Format option, If you want to format your Pen/Flash drive.
• Then at the right site click on Drop Source option and Select the Windows ISO Image file, or simply drag and drop the ISO file.

I think most of you already know about ISO image. I had also published post on ISO image creation. Still I am giving a brief definition of this term - An ISO image is an archive file of an optical disc, a type of disk image composed of the data contents from every written sector on an optical disc, including the optical disc file system. In this post I am gonna introduce another handy tool for creating ISO image. Also I will show how to make ISO file by this software.

• Then choose the Source CD/DVD-ROM and enter Output File name.
• Click on the Folder icon and choose the location where you want to save the ISO file.

ImgBurn - Portable ISO Image Creator (Free!)

Earlier I had published several posts on ISO image file and Bootable Windows disc. So, I can say that you are very familiar with these term. As you all know that you can't install windows in a PC without Bootable Windows disc. And there are several software available on internet to create ISO image file and Bootable windows disc. In this post I have come up with new ISO image file creating and burning ISO file software.

The software that I am introducing in this post is ImgBurn. ImgBurn is a freeware program that allows the recording of many types of CD, DVD and Blu-Ray images to recordable media. ImgBurn can also burn files and data directly to CD/DVD. Today I am gonna show How to create ISO image file using ImgBurn software and also how you can Write a ISO image file to Disc.

Download ImgBurn Portable 

Download the ImgBurn software from the above download link. I am sharing the software in a zipped folder. Its only 3.26 MB. Basically there is no special requirement to run this software. So, you can run this software on any version of windows. Beside that I am sharing the portable version, So, you don't need to install it as we. After download the software follow the below steps to run it.

• After downloading the software folder, You need to Unzip it.
• Then double click on ImgBurn.exe to Run it.

After running the ImgBurn software read the following requirement and follow the further instruction to create ISO Image file and to Burn that ISO image file to disc.


Required Tools:

• Windows Installation CD/DVD. (Any Version)
• Bank Recordable CD/DVD Disc. (CD disc for Windows XP only)
• At least one DVD Writer. (Better if you have Two)
• ImgBurn - ISO image burning Software.

Creating Windows ISO Image File:

• First Insert the Windows DVD disc into the DVD writer.
• Then Run the ImgBurn software.
• Then from the software window click on Create image file from disc. You will move to new window.
  
• Here in the Destination option click on File Icon and Select the location where you want to keep the ISO file.
• Then in the Settings option select the Read Speed - Max and 4x.
• Finally click on CD to ISO file option to start the process. (The option Red marked in the below image)
  

When the process is completed it will show a message saying - Operation Successfully Completed. After completing this task Eject the Windows DVD disc from the PC and Insert the blank DVD in the drive. A single layer DVD is usually 4.7 GB in size. Try to use a good disc to have better durability. Then Follow the next steps...

Burning Windows ISO Image to Blank DVD: 

• Again Run the ImgBurn Software.
• Then from the software window click on Write image file to disc. You will move to new window.
  
• Here in the Source option click on File Icon and Select the created Windows ISO image file from your PC.
• Then in the Settings option select the Write Speed - 4x.
• Finally click on ISO file to CD option to start the burning. (The option Red marked in the below image)
  

The burning process will start immediately. Wait till the process is completed. When the burning process is completed, Double click on My Computer and you will find that your DVD drive icon has turned into Windows icon. That means your Bootable Windows Disk is Ready

How to get Start Screen back in Windows 10!

Recently Microsoft released Windows 10 Technical Preview. And surprisingly Microsoft skipped Windows 9 and released Windows 10 after Windows 8. • Click the Start button , type navigation properties, and then click Navigation properties.
• Or Right Click on your Taskbar and select Properties.
• Then click on Start Menu tab.
• Here you will find an option marked - Use the Start Menu instead of the Start Screen.
• Now Unmark the check box of that option.
• Finally click Apply and then OK.

That's it, Now you will get back the Start Screen on your Windows 10. To deactivate Start Screen, Mark the Use the Start Menu instead of the Start Screen check box.
