How to Set Master Password on Firefox Browser!!!

Earlier I have shared two post about how to see saved password in Firefox and Google Chrome. At the time of writing those post I had hesitated little bit, because these tricks can be used for bad purpose. Beside that these tricks also insecure the information and data saved in your chrome and firefox browser. That is why I have decided to share this post.


To be honest save password in browsers is really helpful. But as I said above you may have to compromise with your information security. Because someone might see your saved password. But if you're using firefox browser then you can ensure the security by setting a master password. Next time I will try to write about Chrome Master password.


Firefox has an option to set a master password. In this post I am gonna show how to set up a master password on your Firefox browser.


Setting a Master Password on Firefox:
  1. First Open your Firefox browser.
  2. Then from the Menu select Options.
  3. Then click on the Security option.
  4. Then here click on Use a Master Password. Then a window will open.
  5. Here in this window Set your desired Master Password and click on OK.

That's it, Now nobody can see your passwords saved on Firefox browser.


If You Lost/Forget The Master Password?

Now the question is that if you lost or forget the master password then what to do? Don't worry if you forget the master password the visit the following link. It will give you an option to reset the master password. But it will remove all the existing passwords too.


Copy the above link and paste it in the Firefox browser address bar. Now click on Reset button which is located at the Right Bottom Corner of the window.
