How to Index PC Drive to Search Files Faster!

How to Index PC Drive to Search Files Faster
In the previous post I had share a software named Everything Search Engine by which you can search everything on your PC instantly. I that post I also mentioned that every windows version has its own search engine. But sometimes these search engine may not show some files. It only show the files or folders of some specific location. It is because the other drive of your PC are not automatically indexed.

To make your search experience better in your PC, you need to index all the drives of your computer in the indexing service. If your drives are indexed then your search item will appear immediately as you type. To do this you need to find Indexing Option in your PC. Finding Indexing Option may differ from windows version to version. Generally Indexing Option is located in Control Panel. Let's see how to Index Drives in Windows...

Indexing Drives in Windows:
  • First open Run option. (Press Windows Key+R)
  • Then type Control Panel and press Enter.
  • Then in the search box, type Indexing Options, and then click Indexing Options.
  • Then click on Modify button and Select all Drives.
  • And finally click on OK.
