How to Recover Data from Memory Card by PC!

Memory card is one of the most popular storage container to store data. Basically it is very popular because its using comparability with smartphone. And most of the smartphone user use memory card in their device. And they use Memory card as their primary storage. But if your memory card is disabled or damaged then you can lost your important data. But using a simple trick you can recover data from your Memory card. In this post I am gonna show how to recover data from damaged memory card.


There are several software by which you can recover data from your Memory Card, but before using any software I will recommend you to recover Memory card data by using your windows PC. Sometimes your memory has data but when you connect it to PC, it shows no data. This is because your PC can't read it. That means your Memory card is disabled. So, you need to activate your Memory card, that it can be read by your PC.


Activating Disabled Memory Card:
  • First connect your Memory Card to your PC.
    Note: If the memory card shows like file explorer or like other disk in hard drive the you will not able to enter it. But the file is in the system.
  • The open the Run option (Press Windows Key+R)
  • Then enter the following code in the blank box and press Enter. Then an windows will be prompted.
    chkdsk m:/r 
    • Here m: is memory card drive. Now type your memory card drive letter in the place of letter m: and let the disk checking complete. 
  • Now if it shows convert lost chains to files then press y. if the file structure is correct then you will be able to use your card data again.
  • If the memory shows invalid file system then click the right mouse button on the memory card drive and select Format.
  • Then select Fat from the File system and Uncheck the Quick Format option and then Format the memory card. 

As a result of this you will lost your memory card data but your card will be OK.
