How to Make a Virtual Machine by VirtualBox!

If you want to research on different operating systems then you can use them by making virtual machine. And if you have enough ram capacity in your computer then you can do networking between various types of virtual machines. Virtual box can be a good option to make a virtual machine. Lets see how to make virtual machine using virtualbox.

Requirement:

•  First download Virtual-box from here Download.

• Bootable Windows Drive or Disk.

Making Virtual Machine Using VirtualBox:

1. At first Install the VirtualBox, it is very easy I think you can do it.
   
2. After Installing VirtualBox Run it. Then got to the Machine option and click New.
   
3. As we are Installing client that is why I am giving Windows 7 (client) name to the Windows 7 Virtual machine. Then Select Windows 7 operating system from Drop Down Menu.
   
4. The determine what will be Virtual Machine Ram. Minimum 512mb Ram is needed but 1 gb is better.
   
5.  Now it is time to set the Hard drive. Here you have to make your Hard drive. To do this Select Create a virtual hard drive now.
   
6. Now from Virtual Hard drive file type Select VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image).
   
7. In the Next Window after selecting Fixed Size Select Hard Drive size 25-30 GB. Minimum Hard drive size recommendation for Windows 7 is 25 GB. Thats it primarily Your Virtual Machine is created.
   
   
   
8. Now go to Machine option and click Settings.
   
9. In the Settings Window Select Controller IDE and you will see a CD icon at the right side of the window.
   
10. Now click on the CD icon and click choose a virtual CD\DVD into the drive then Select the downloaded Windows 7 file location.
    
11. Now go to Network option and click Enable Network Adapter, then from Attached to select Internet Network.
    
12. To Run the Virtual Machine click Machine option and then click Start or Directly click Start Icon.
    
     
13. Now Setup the Windows 7 normally and after the windows setup your Virtual Machine will ready for use.
