Use Custom Icon on Flash Drive
If you are using microsoft windows on your PC then you may have noticed that windows use default icon on Hard/Flash drive. Normally windows use same icon on every Hard/Flash drive. And sometimes it use same level too. As a result you may face difficulty to find a particular disk.

But you can solve this problem by using custom icon on Hard/Flash drive. If you use custom icon on your PC hard/flash drive then you can easily find your desired drive. In this post I am gonna show how to use custom icon on flash drive.

Requirement:

To use a image as hard/flash drive icon you need to convert this image into icon file format [.ico]. There are different software available by which you can convert an image into icon. Earlier I have published icon creating software. You can take help of the below post.

You can also use the Any2Icon software or Online Icon Converter. After converting image into icon follow the below steps to use the icon on flash drive. You can use icon on both Hard and Flash drive using this method. I am only showing the method of using icon on flash drive.

  • Insert your Flash drive into the PC and open it.
  • Click Right mouse button on blank space then go to New and select Text Document.
  • Then Copy the below code and Paste it on this Text Document file.
  • Now save the file as autorun.inf in the disk in which you want to use icon.

Customization:

In the above code Label represents the name of the drive. Here replace iTTimesbd with your desired disk name. And Icon will be the name of the icon image that you have converted into .ico format. Here also replace iTTimesbd.ico with your icon name.

That's it. Now remove the flash drive and insert it again and you will find the change, If not then restart your PC. If you followed the above steps properly then of course the drive'e icon will be changed.

If you have any query regarding this post then don't forget to leave your valuable.
